This article was well worth the read. I like the way Ms. McDermott worked her review into the very descriptive and emotional videos which portrays some very real concerns that I feel, and probably other readers who have looked at this article, also feel, must be addressed.

I read Valerie McDermott’s list of the Top Ten Canadian Indie Bands and I really liked it, with one exception.
As one of the other poster’s mentioned, I would like to have seen Tegan & Sara on the list.
These two bad ass twins make some good music and are fun to watch live.
No offense Val, just my opinion.

I watched the Much Music Video Awards from Toronto. What a pile of shit! Is this the best Canada has to offer?
Get some good bands on that gig and their ratings will hit the roof. Beiber as a headliner? Give me a break!

Read your views regularly. I loved Valerie McDermott’s bio in Music Box on Neil Young. One of the best I have read on him. Don’t see too many articles on travel? Any in the works?

You have a fabulous online entertainment site. A friend of mine told me about it a couple of weeks ago, and I look at it all the time.
I like the movies and music catgories and read Marc McRae’s movie reviews and Valerie McDermott on music.

I thought I would send my comments on your Madly Juicy site.
I live in Glasgow, Scotland, and I tend to look at various arts & entertainment sites for up-to-date news on artist and movie reviews.
Your writers seemed to be well versed on the artists they are covering and appear to bring a personal perspective in their work, which to me is quite refreshing.
I particularly like Valerie McDermott and Olivia Folliot’s
perspective on their reviews, who I belive are both Canadian.
Here in Britain, reviewers appear to have the same storyline
and very little variation on the artists they review, which quite frankly is boring and not worth reading.
I like the up front, open, interactive approach your writers have taken. it is very appealing.
