A year after their last opus, Maroon 5 comes back with a hip shaker new opus

Before the Maroon 5, they were called the Kara’s Flowers, a grunge band composed by Adam Levine (vocals/guitar), Jesse Carmichael (guitar), Mickey Madden (bass) and Ryan Dusick (drums). Their journey began in Californian junior high school in 1995. Renamed in 2001, the origin of the Maroon 5 they started showcasing in Los Angeles and New York before being signed by Octone Records. Their first studio album, Songs about Jane, was released in 2002, and stayed in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 for 26 months! A worldwide recognition followed, ‘they went platinum on their 10th anniversary as a band, kept touring, won a Grammy, wrote new songs here and there, won another Grammy and opened for the Rolling Stones’[1].

In 2006, Ryan left the band and was replaced by Matt Flynn that coincided with their second studio album It won’t be soon before long.

Adam Levine affirms with this album that he won’t go solo

After more touring and two live albums, the band recorded Hand All Over in 2010, produced by John ‘Mutt’ Lange.

In 2011, “Moves Like Jagger”, a song mostly composed by the Swedish whiz-kid shellback, hit the band hard with the irreverence, sheer dance-ability and pure catchiness’1 and inspired the Overexposed album, their 4th studio album released June 24th. “Payphone” featuring Wiz Khalifa introduced this new opus. The Maroon 5 pop rock neo-soul cocktail is still electrifying with tracks like “One More night”, “Lucky Strike” or “The Man who never lied”, proving that women and love is still at the heart of Maroon 5 writing. They also composed sweet romantic ballads such as “Sad and Beautiful Goodbyes”, adding some electro-pop beats such as “Love Somebody”, “Tickets” and “Doin Dirt”. In the deluxe version, you will discover an explosive version of the title “Kiss”!

Overexposed, won’t be an exception to their golden rule of success! The band even spoiled us with a 15 tracks deluxe version. Madly Juicy guarantees you that Overexposed will be the absolute hip shaker of your summer!
